The Foundation has achieved remarkable success, investing over $75 million in more than 2,800 school music programs. Since 2019, they have doubled their reach to 600+ new programs across major U.S. cities including New York, Newark, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Nashville, and Columbus.

Key achievements and developments:

  • 95% of the 2024 organizational budget comes from non-Paramount sources
  • Diverse funding sources include major record labels, Live Nation, AEG Presents, Amazon, TikTok, Meta, and a $2 million grant from MacKenzie Scott
  • Paramount has pledged an initial six-figure donation to the endowment fund
  • The organization supports 285+ school districts nationwide

To celebrate this transition, Save the Music has launched an exclusive auction campaign on the Propeller platform, featuring prizes from artists like Sabrina Carpenter, The War and Treaty, Denzel Curry, GHOST, Common x Pete Rock, Patti LaBelle, and Blake Shelton. The auction proceeds will fund new music programs across the country.

Executive Director Henry Donahue emphasizes the significance of this change: "Going independent is a huge step forward for us—and the culmination of a five-year effort from our team, partners, and boards. In every school I visit, the music room is a special place where students are creative, thoughtful, and optimistic."

The Foundation remains committed to its core mission of providing schools with instruments and technology, supporting teachers, and funding community-based music organizations to ensure future generations have access to music education.
