Offset Defies Label's Russia Boycott, Announces Moscow Concert Date
Offset has announced an upcoming performance in Moscow, Russia scheduled for April 18, despite his label Universal Music Group's ongoing boycott of the country following the Ukraine invasion.

The rapper has launched a dedicated website for the Russian concert, promoting himself as "a showman who turns a concert into a theatrical performance." Ticket prices range from 5,000 to 45,000 Russian rubles (approximately $55-$490 USD).
This announcement comes as particularly notable since Motown Records, Offset's label under UMG, suspended all operations in Russia alongside other major music companies including Sony Music, Warner Music, and Live Nation following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The performance follows fellow rapper DaBaby's recent Moscow concert on February 28, where he was welcomed by local musicians performing the traditional folk song "Valenki."
Important considerations for the Moscow performance include Russia's strict drug laws, highlighted by the recent case of WNBA star Brittney Griner, who spent 10 months in Russian detention for possessing cannabis oil cartridges.
The concert is currently only advertised on Offset's personal channels and dedicated Russian website, with no confirmation from Motown Records or appearance on official label platforms. Representatives for Offset, Universal, and Independent Artist Group have not responded to requests for comment.
The announcement comes amid other developments in Offset's career, including his recent single "Ten" released through Capitol Records on February 14, and ongoing divorce proceedings with Cardi B, where he's seeking joint custody of their three children.
