Live Music Society Launches $50,000 Grant Program for Small Venues, Building on $4M Legacy
Live Music Society is now accepting applications for their third annual Music in Action grant, offering up to $50,000 in funding for small music venues across the United States. The organization has already distributed $4 million in grants to support independent venues and listening rooms.

Applications are open from January 8 to February 14, 2024 (11:59 PM PT). The grants aim to enhance venue experiences, strengthen community connections, and ensure long-term business sustainability. Recipients will be announced in June.

- Improving experiences for musicians, audiences, and staff
- Building engaged community networks
- Supporting business growth and sustainability
- Promoting inclusivity for marginalized groups (BIPOC, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and individuals with disabilities)

The program has supported 41 venues across major cities and small towns, spanning both coasts, the South, and the Midwest. Live Music Society continues to celebrate grantee venues through their American Road Trip series, with the next featured event at Cole's Bar in Chicago on January 13.
