During Super Bowl LVIII, Kanye West (Ye) aired a controversial low-budget commercial filmed on an iPhone, promoting his website selling t-shirts featuring swastika imagery for $20. Initially offering various clothing items, the site quickly narrowed to only selling white t-shirts with black swastika designs.

This latest controversy follows Ye's recent antisemitic statements on X (formerly Twitter), where he identified as a Nazi and praised Adolf Hitler. Shortly after the Super Bowl ad aired, he deactivated his X account, preempting potential suspension calls from figures like actor David Schwimmer and Jewish advocacy groups.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) strongly condemned the incident, with CEO Jonathan Greenblatt stating: "Let's call Ye's hate-filled public rant for what it really is: a sad attempt for attention that uses Jews as a scapegoat. But unfortunately, it does get attention because Kanye has a far-reaching platform on which to spread his antisemitism and hate."

The ADL further characterized the incident as "another egregious display of antisemitism, racism, and misogyny from Kanye West" on their X account. As of publication, West's website remains active with the controversial merchandise still available for purchase.
