Fatboy Slim Blasts Dynamic Ticket Pricing and Expensive Oasis Reunion Shows
Fatboy Slim has criticized the practice of dynamic ticket pricing and specifically called out the "sick" pricing for Oasis' reunion concerts, highlighting growing concerns about concert ticket affordability.
Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) expressed strong disapproval of dynamic pricing, where ticket prices fluctuate based on demand. He emphasized that this practice mainly benefits already wealthy artists and promoters at the expense of fans.
"It's like auctioning tickets because you know they are doing well," Cook told The Sun. "It's bad enough with the touts doing it, but the actual promoter and band doing it — it is sick."

As a contrast to high-priced shows, Cook maintains affordable pricing for his own tours. He also praised Coldplay's approach of donating 10% of their ticket revenue to support smaller venues, calling it the right kind of "dynamic pricing" that helps sustain the music industry's ecosystem.
