Ed Sheeran has settled a copyright infringement lawsuit regarding 'The Rest Of Our Life,' a song he co-wrote for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The settlement comes amid multiple copyright claims against the British singer-songwriter.

Australian songwriters Sean Carey and Beau Golden alleged that Sheeran, along with co-writers Johnny McDaid, Steve Mac, and Amy Wedge, copied their song 'When I Found You,' originally written for Australian artist Jasmine Rae. The plaintiffs claimed the copying was "verbatim, note-for-note" in many instances.

The case was notably represented by Richard Busch, the attorney who won the landmark 'Blurred Lines' case against Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke on behalf of Marvin Gaye's estate.

According to court documents filed in the US District Court in Manhattan, both parties have agreed "in principle" to settle the case. The lawsuit will be dismissed within 30 days once final issues are resolved.

This settlement represents just one of several legal challenges Sheeran faces. He remains a defendant in two other copyright lawsuits filed in the same court, including claims related to 'Let's Get It On' by Ed Townsend's estate.
