J. Cole's Dreamville Festival has announced that its 2025 event will be its fifth and final edition, adding to the growing list of festival changes in 2024. The farewell event is scheduled for April 5th-6th, 2025, in Raleigh.

Despite attracting over 100,000 attendees in 2024 and generating a reported $145 million local economic impact, organizers have confirmed the festival's conclusion. General admission presale passes are currently available at $299.99, with the full lineup announcement expected before the end of 2024.

The festival's organizers shared their farewell message: "From the very beginning, the idea behind the fest was creating a place where our fans, the Dreamville community, could spend time together, a place where they could see themselves reflected, a place to share in experiences. Let's run it back one more time in April!"

This announcement comes amid a challenging year for music festivals, with over 170 events being canceled, postponed, or discontinued in 2024. The timing is particularly notable as Dreamville's final edition will occur just days before Coachella 2025's first weekend.

The festival industry has shown signs of strain, with even major events like Coachella experiencing slower ticket sales. The 2024 edition didn't sell out, and the 2025 event's ticket sales have been notably sluggish, with second-weekend passes still available.

The post-COVID festival landscape has become increasingly crowded, with major events like EDC Las Vegas and Stagecoach 2025 scheduled close together, potentially contributing to market saturation and slower ticket sales across the industry.
