Diddy's Legal Team Seeks Gag Order in Sex Trafficking Case Over Media Coverage
Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team has requested a gag order amid his ongoing racketeering and sex trafficking case, citing concerns over prejudicial media coverage.

The motion comes after an unnamed witness claimed to possess video evidence of Combs allegedly committing various crimes. Defense attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos argue these unverified claims are creating prejudicial pretrial publicity that could compromise Combs' right to a fair trial.
The witness, who reportedly never met Combs, claims to have received tapes from a deceased individual along with a purported memoir from the mother of Combs' children. Combs' legal team dismisses these claims as a "pathetic extortion scheme."
This follows an earlier October motion where Combs' attorneys sought to restrict federal law enforcement leaks regarding alleged "freak-offs." While Judge Arun Subramanian denied that request, he emphasized the importance of protecting non-public information.
The defense team has also highlighted concerns about a falsified book allegedly containing entries from Combs' ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, which briefly appeared on Amazon. They argue these materials are being used to fuel baseless allegations against their client.
Combs, who recently turned 55 while in custody, awaits his May 5 trial. The court's decision on the gag order is expected in the coming weeks, as his legal team works to ensure trial integrity amid intense media scrutiny.
