Diddy's Attorney Withdraws From Defense Team, Citing Inability to Continue Representation
Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense attorney Anthony Ricco has filed a motion to withdraw from representing the mogul in his criminal sex-trafficking and racketeering case, according to new court documents filed February 20.

Ricco provided no specific reason for his withdrawal, stating only that "Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs." The attorney indicated the brief nature of his request aims to protect attorney-client privilege.
The withdrawal requires judicial approval and was filed after consultation with Combs' lead counsel, Marc Agnifilo. Ricco assured the court his departure would not delay the May 5 trial date, as Combs retains five other attorneys.
Combs, 54, faces serious charges related to allegedly drugging women and forcing them into sex work. He has pleaded not guilty but remains in custody without bail since his September arrest following federal raids on his properties. If convicted, he faces 15 years to life in prison.
Additionally, Combs faces approximately 40 civil lawsuits from individuals alleging drug-facilitated sexual assault. While one recent case involving Jay-Z was withdrawn, numerous others remain active. Combs and his legal team continue to deny all allegations.
