Key developments in Stapp's situation:

  • Claims his royalties and other funds were stolen by people both inside and outside his label
  • Reports being under IRS investigation, resulting in his accounts being frozen
  • Alleges his bank account was hacked and money was stolen
  • Maintains he has remained completely sober throughout this period
  • His wife recently filed for divorce, citing drug use and erratic behavior
  • Emergency custody request for their children was denied
  • Stapp denies all allegations of drug use and says he is "being attacked"

This situation comes roughly a year after Stapp released his second solo album through Wind-Up Records. The other members of Creed have not been in contact with him since the band's 2012 hiatus.
