Making the announcement via Instagram Reel, Burke described the decision as "bittersweet" while emphasizing that the podcast was never intended to disparage the show that shaped her career. The podcast explored behind-the-scenes aspects of the NBC series, including professional dancer-celebrity relationships and notable incidents like Artem Chigvintsev's domestic violence arrest.
"After an incredible journey, I've made the bittersweet decision to say farewell — for now — to this podcast," Burke stated. "This chapter has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, filled with growth, meaningful conversations, and powerful connections."
Burke's involvement with "Dancing with the Stars" spans from Season 2 in 2006 through Season 31's finale in November 2022. She also notably replaced Abby Lee Miller on ABC's "Dance Moms" in 2017.
In addressing misconceptions, Burke encouraged listeners to review past episodes, stating, "My heart has always been in the right place... This podcast was always about truth, connection, and storytelling — not taking anything down." She expressed gratitude to her supporters who stood by her during controversial moments.
While the specific reason for the podcast's suspension remains undisclosed, Burke maintains that any negative headlines about her intentions misrepresent the podcast's true purpose of sharing stories and fostering connections within the dancing community.
