Charlamagne Tha God has criticized Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show for focusing too heavily on his ongoing feud with Drake.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne argued that despite "Not Like Us" being a Grammy-winning hit in 2024, Lamar shouldn't have performed it at the Super Bowl. "Kendrick is bigger than 'Not Like Us.' It does not define him or who he is," he stated.

During the 13-minute performance, Lamar made several references to his Drake feud, even addressing potential legal threats from Drake's team. While he censored the word "pedophile," he maintained other controversial lyrics targeting Drake, including "Say Drake, I hear you like 'em young" and "Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A minor."

The show featured notable appearances from Drake's former girlfriends, including a duet with SZA and a surprise cameo from Serena Williams, who performed a crip walk on an elevated stage.

The performance broke viewership records, reaching 135.7 million viewers during the second half - the highest-rated halftime show in Super Bowl history, surpassing both Usher's recent performance and Michael Jackson's iconic 1993 show.

Charlamagne concluded by expressing hope that this marks the end of the feud, stating, "You should never go past the mark you aim for in victory. I just wouldn't give my opp and his minions that kind of love on that big-ass stage."
