Celine Dion Issues Warning About Fake AI Songs After Surprise 'My Heart Will Go On' Performance
Celine Dion recently issued a warning about unauthorized AI-generated music mimicking her voice across digital streaming platforms. The announcement comes after her surprise performance at a TGL golf event in Palm Beach Gardens, where she sang a brief rendition of "My Heart Will Go On."

The 56-year-old singer emphasized that these AI-generated recordings are "fake and not approved" and should not be confused with her official discography. While specific platforms weren't named, numerous unauthorized AI-generated tracks featuring Dion's synthesized voice can be found on various streaming services.
Dion has been largely absent from the music scene while battling stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder. Her last studio album, "Courage," was released in 2019, with the accompanying tour suspended in early 2020 due to pandemic restrictions and her health condition.
However, recent developments suggest a possible comeback. Her appearance and performance at the Paris Olympics generated significant buzz, and her recent TGL golf event interview showed her in good health and willing to engage in public appearances.
The issue of AI-generated soundalikes extends beyond Dion, becoming a major concern in the music industry. Sony Music recently highlighted this challenge by leading a $16 million funding round for Vermillio, an AI licensing and monetization startup, demonstrating the industry's active response to unauthorized AI-generated content.
