Americans are rapidly downloading Rednote as an alternative to TikTok, with over 1.1 million US downloads in the past week ahead of the potential TikTok ban. This represents a massive 2,770% increase from the previous week's 36,619 downloads.

  • United States: 1,137,241
  • China: 869,778
  • Mexico: 185,607
  • United Kingdom: 181,644

Notable celebrities joining Rednote include TikTok stars Bella Poarch and Loren Gray, along with singers Sabrina Carpenter and Selena Gomez.

Other platforms are also seeing changes:

  • Lemon8 (owned by ByteDance): 2 million worldwide downloads, 50% weekly increase
  • Instagram: 63.6 million global downloads, 11% monthly increase
  • TikTok: 17% decrease ($31 million) in in-app purchase revenue globally in January
