Kohl's is closing 27 stores across 15 states on March 29, 2024, as part of its broader transformation strategy. This decision comes alongside a 9.4% sales decline in Q4 2024 and expectations of a 2% drop in net sales for 2025. The company will continue operating over 1,120 locations nationwide after these closures.

The transformation plan includes:

• Reducing 10% of corporate workforce
• Ending Amazon return services in select locations
• Closing San Bernardino, California fulfillment center in May
